Booking and policies
- How do I book a class at Braintree?
- All classes are booked through Mindbody. Create your account, choose your class and pay in advance to hold your spot. If you run into trouble, email the studio and we will help.
- What is your cancellation policy?
- You must cancel your reservation 4 hours before class begins. Inside 4 hours you are considered a "late cancel," which means losing your class credit, or a $15 late cancel fee for unlimited packages and members.
- Is the class full?
- Classes often open up for waitlisted students, so please take advantage of the waitlist if the class you would like to take is already full.
- Do I have to register and pay in advance?
- Yes. Pre-registration and payment is required for all classes, and everything is handled through Mindbody. We do not register students or accept payment on site, so email HigherGroundStudio.MA@gmail.com if you need help.
- What is your refund policy?
- We do not offer refunds or transfers of payment for any classes, packages, pre-paid services, workshops, trainings and/or special events under any circumstances.
- What is the minimum age to attend class?
- Participants must be at least 16 years old to attend independently. Ages 14 to 15 may attend with a parent or legal guardian registered in the same class. Everyone under 18 needs a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. We reserve the right to refuse participation where it is not appropriate for someone's safety or for the class experience.
Memberships and offers
- Is there a new client offer?
- Yes. 3 Weeks Unlimited for $64 is our intro offer for anyone new to Higher Ground. You can purchase it through Mindbody when you set up your account.
- Do you offer discounts for students, teachers, nurses or first responders?
- Yes. Our Community Heroes Annual Membership gives students, teachers, healthcare workers and military personnel 10% off an annual membership. Email a valid ID to HigherGroundStudio.MA@gmail.com.
- How do I change or cancel a membership?
- Auto-renew memberships are charged to the card on file on the first of every month, and there is a $15 fee for declined payments. Cancellations require 30 days notice in writing, sent to HigherGroundStudio.MA@gmail.com. Yearly memberships do not auto renew.
The method and the studio
- How often should I take class?
- For the best results we suggest 3 to 4 classes per week.
- What do I need for class?
- Water and a hand towel for most classes, plus a mat towel for Hot Power and Moonlight Vinyasa. For Chill Out, Sunday Restorative and Tuesday Yin, bring comfortable layers and socks.
- Am I too new for this?
- No. Every class on our schedule is open to all levels. Warm Flow is a great starting point if you are newer to yoga or working with injuries or movement limitations.
- Is there parking?
- There is no off-street parking at the studio. Street parking is available on and around Washington Street, so please allow a few extra minutes to find a spot.
- Where do I leave my belongings?
- There is storage for personal belongings in the studio. We ask that you leave your phone with your things during class so you are not distracting the people around you.
- Can I book a private session or the whole studio?
- Yes. Email HigherGroundStudio.MA@gmail.com with your availability and instructor preference and we will arrange it.
